Game Preview: Hawks v Cavaliers

Philips Arena hosts Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Sunday afternoon, where the Cleveland Cavaliers look to advance to the Conference Finals, up 3-0 in the series over the Atlanta Hawks.

The Cavaliers continued their unstoppable assault from long range on the road on Friday night, shooting 21 of 39 from beyond en route to a 121-108 victory over the Hawks. LeBron James and Kyrie Irving posted 24 points apiece, with James adding 13 rebounds for the double-double and going 8 of 16 from the field, and Irving recording 3 steals and dropping 4 three-pointers. Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson got in on the act with double-doubles of their own, with Love finishing with 21 points, 15 boards and 5 triples, and Thompson contributing 13 rebounds and forcing 4 turnovers. Love notched his seventh double-double of the postseason, best in the NBA. Channing Frye emerged off the bench to put up a team-best 27 points, going 7 of 9 from downtown, as Cleveland looks to advance to the final four for the fifth time in franchise history.

The Hawks' frustrations continued on Friday, despite a respectable 48.8% shooting night from field goal range, 47.1% from deep and 83.3% from the foul line. Al Horford led the club in scoring with 24 points, going 11 of 15 from the paint. Jeff Teague, who got chippy down the stretch when he shoved LeBron James into the crowd, recorded 19 points facilitating 14 assists for the double-double and shooting 7 of 17 from the field, while reservist Kyle Korver played off the pine for 18 points and 5 three-pointers as Atlanta is looking to avoid being swept by Cleveland for the second consecutive year, as they were ousted in four games in the Conference Finals in 2015.
