Long Finding His FootingShawn Long finished with 21 points, and put together a near-perfect night against the D-League Select team.

The 6’9″ forward shot 8 for 9 from the field, 3 for 3 from beyond the arc and 2 for 2 from the free-throw line. Long also added five rebounds, two blocks and one steal.

The Louisiana-Lafayette product spoke about his impressive night shooting.

“I think I made the best of an opportunity,” Long said, following the win. “I can shoot the ball…It’s just something I’m going to continue to work on. It’s one of my strong points, and hopefully it gets stronger.”

RHJ and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot — who had 15 points on Wednesday — will likely be seeing a lot of each other during Thursday’s game. The matchup will be intriguing, considering both players possess innate athletic ability, as well as desired length to reach the basket.
