The Boise State product ended the night with 13 points, while shooting 71 percent from the field, and 75 percent from three-point range* T.J. McConnell and Richaun Holmes both had productive nights on the floor. McConnell finished the game with six points (3-for-6 from the field), eight assists and two rebounds. Holmes ended the contest with 12 points (4-for-4 from the field), eight rebounds and two steals* Brandon Paul manufactured 18 points, and six steals. Brandon Paul’s Hot StreakOver the last two games, Paul has asserted himself as a scorer, dropping 38 total points, shooting a total 14-for-34 from the field. The 6’4″ guard has also averaged four steals per game over the Sixers’ last two outings, including six against Brooklyn.
Paul spoke about his impressive defensive outing following the game: “(Defense) is something I’ve worked on since I left college,” he said. “I think a lot of people know I can score… Defensively, I wanted to get after it and be aggressive.”
Key Matchup to Watch: Shawn Long vs Victor Rudd
Fresh off a 24-point performance (8-for-13 from the field) during Miami’s loss to the Phoenix Suns, Rudd, a USF product, has emerged as one of Miami’s most prolific scorers during the summer league.
After remaining mostly quiet during the Utah league, Shawn Long has averaged 15 points per game during Philadelphia’s tournament play. Additionally, Long and Rudd have nearly identical frames, as both players are 6’9″ tall, and weigh 245 pounds.
