4TH QUARTER UPDATE
The Warriors defeated the Cavaliers, 110-102 tonight in Game 3 of the 2018 NBA Finals to take a 3-0 series lead. Kevin Durant led all scorers with a playoff career-high 43 points along with 13 rebounds and 7 assists for the Warriors, while Stephen Curry tallied 11 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds in the game. Durant becomes the first player in Warriors franchise history to score 40+ points in a road game of the NBA Finals. LeBron James (33 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks) recorded his 10th Finals career triple-double for the Cavaliers in the losing effort; James has now passed Michael Jordan for the most career playoff games with 30+ points in NBA history. Game 4 will be on Friday in Cleveland.
3RD QUARTER UPDATE
The Warriors outscored the Cavaliers 31-23 in the 3rd quarter to take an 83-81 lead into the quarter break. Kevin Durant continues to lead all scorers with 34 points (11-17 FG, 5-7 3pt FG) along with 13 rebounds and 5 assists, while JaVale McGee and Klay Thompson have each scored 10 points for the Warriors. LeBron James has a team-high 21 points to go with 11 assists, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks for the Cavaliers, with Kevin Love tallying 18 points and 10 rebounds in the game thus far. The Warriors made 13-22 FG (59.1%) and 3-6 3pt FG (50%) as a team in the 3rd quarter and have outscored the Cavaliers 16-10 in fast break points in the game thus far.
HALFTIME UPDATE
At halftime, the Cavaliers lead the Warriors 58-52. Kevin Love has a team-high 15 points (3-5 3pt FG) and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers, while LeBron James recorded 14 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds in the half.
