Reigning Kia MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 10 points, 8 rebounds and two steals in just 16 minutes as Greece powered past Montenegro 85-60 on Sunday. Former NBA player Georgios Papagiannis led Greece in scoring with 15 points. Montenegro was led by Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic, who scored 12 points on 6-for-14 shooting in 22 minutes of action.
France 78, Germany 74
Orlando Magic guard Evan Fournier led France with 26 points and 10 rebounds as they held on for a 78-74 win over Germany in Shenzhen, China. Fournier was supported by current NBA players Nicolas Batum, Frank Ntilikina and Rudy Gobert, who collected five blocks in the win. Oklahoma City Thunder guard Dennis Schroder scored 23 points with eight assists and three steals for Germany.
Australia 108, Canada 92
Turkey 86, Japan 67
Milwaukee Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova scored 19 points with 10 rebounds as Turkey powered past Japan 86-67 in Shanghai, China. Cleveland Cavaliers guard Cedi Osman added 12 points and Philadelphia 76ers guard Furkan Korkmaz scored 10. Washington Wizards rookie Rui Hachimura was the leading scorer for Japan with 15 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
Brazil 102, New Zealand 94
Former NBA veteran Leandro Barbosa was the leading scorer for Brazli with 22 points and 3 assists on Sunday. He was supported by Chicago Bulls center Cristiano Felicio, Memphis Grizzlies forward Bruno Caboclo and former NBA player Anderson Varejao. New Zealand was led by Corey Webster, who scored 19 points with six assists and six rebounds.
Lithuania 101, Senegal 47
Memphis Grizzlies center Jonas Valanciunas led the way for Lithuania as they blew past Senegal 101-47 in China on Sunday. Valanciunas tallied 13 points and 11 rebounds in just 20 minutes during the win. He was joined by Indiana Pacers forward Domantas Sabonis, who scored 13 points with seven rebounds. No player on Senegal scored more than eight points.
Dominican Republic 80, Jordan 76
The Dominican Republic held off a last-minute push from Jordan to win 80-76 in Shenzhen, China on Sunday. Victor Liz (15 points) and Eloy Vargas (12) were the leading scorers for the D.R. For Jordan, Ahmad Al Dwairi (34 points) and Dar Tucker (24) scored all but 18 of the team’s 76 points in the loss.
