Favors is considered questionable for Monday’s game against the Mavericks due to soreness in his right knee.

Favors was a late scratch Sunday against Denver, but rookie Trey Lyles took his place and provided 22 points and six rebounds in 32 minutes as the Jazz topped the Nuggets. Considering Utah holds only a one-game lead over Houston for the final playoff spot in the West, Favors’ injury comes at a less-than-ideal time, and it’s likely at least somewhat serious if it’s forcing him to potentially miss another critically important game. If Favors is ultimately ruled out, expect Lyles to make another start alongside Rudy Gobert up front.
