Turner’s least productive effort of the exhibition slate likely couldn’t have come at a worst time, given that it represented his final preseason opportunity to make a case for the starting small forward job. The veteran swingman is thus increasingly likely to open the season as part of the second unit, but given his positional versatility and strong defensive play, should see plenty of minutes regardless.
