Dwight Howard: Solid Hawks debut Thursday

Howard wasn’t out there for long but provided a solid performance overall. The 30-year-old should find himself a focal point of the Hawks attack this season, considering the offseason departure of Jeff Teague and the high-usage role that the man he replaces at the five, Al Horford, enjoyed last season. However, Howard’s durability will also be key, and it’s notable that he hasn’t played a full 82 games since the 2009-10 campaign with the Magic.
