Durant went for a game-high 40 points (12-31 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 13-13 FT), and added seven rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block over 45 minutes during Thursday’s 120-111 loss to the Warriors in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals.

The shooting percentage was under 40 percent for a second straight game, but Durant turned in his second-highest scoring total of the postseason, and his best of the series. He also drained multiple three-pointers for only the second time in the conference finals, and has posted a mediocre 29.6 percent success rate from beyond the arc over the five contests versus the Warriors. Despite the struggles with his accuracy, the nine-year veteran continues to chuck up plenty of shots, now having made 55 attempts from the field over the last two games. He’ll undoubtedly be heavily involved once again as the Thunder attempt to close things out in Game 6 on Saturday night.
