Diaw managed six points and four rebounds in the Spurs win against New York on Monday.

Diaw is currently backing up Tim Duncan at the Spurs’ center position, even though they are both true power forwards. They are both playing the center position because of the additions of star veterans LaMarcus Aldridge and David West at power forward. This loaded front court has shown early on that Diaw will be more likely to see less minutes overall than he has in past seasons, in fact he is currently averaging 20.8 minutes per game compared to his 28.5 career average. As a result, his points and rebound numbers have shown a slight dip this year.
