The Hawks demonstrated they had full confidence in Schroder this offseason after shipping former starting point guard, Jeff Teague, to the Pacers at the end of June. Schorder turned in modest averages throughout the preseason schedule, but saw his minutes restricted on most nights and will have plenty of opportunities to operate as one of the Hawks’ leaders offensively during the 2016-17 campaign. He’s locked in for the next four years and should see his playing time start off at around 30 minutes right out of the gate during Thursday’s regular season opener against the Wizards.
