While Jahlil Okafor (knee) was able to log some light playing time in the preseason finale after missing all six of the 76ers’ previous contests, he’s not a threat to Saric’s role as the starting power forward, since he’ll see the bulk of his time at center as the backup to Jahlil Okafor. With Ben Simmons (foot) and Nerlens Noel (groin, knee) looking likely to miss extensive time, Saric should have a clear path to 25-plus minutes per night, and could even become one of the team’s go-to scorers. Like most rookies, Saric’s production figures to be volatile game to game, but his strong preseason should give his fantasy owners plenty of optimism.
