D’Angelo Russell: Leads all scorers with 21 points Friday

Russell rebounded from what was a dismal four-point showing against the Kings on Tuesday to lead all scorers Friday. He encouragingly was able to find the net at a high rate after making only 25 percent of his eight attempts in the opener and drained an impressive 50 percent of his eight three-point tries. Although he closed out his rookie campaign in a slump, Russell dominated in the Las Vegas Summer League and should take a considerable step forward with a full offseason of preparation and a starting job from Day 1 of the new campaign.
