Kevin Love placed in NBA’s concussion protocol, has steps to clear before returning to action Author: Chris Fedor Publication: Cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love was able to fly back with the team on Monday, but his status for Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday remains unknown, as he is in the NBA’s concussion protocol program.

The injury happened in the second quarter of Game 2 when Love took an inadvertent elbow to the back of the head from Harrison Barnes. After writhing in pain, holding his head under the basket, Love was originally cleared to return, as he did not exhibit any signs or symptoms of a concussion during the late second quarter or even at halftime.

However, at the start of the third, Love experienced dizziness, called for a sub and walked back to the locker room with trainer Steve Spiro. After being further evaluated, Love was placed in the concussion program. – CLICK HERE to read full story.

This was the NBA Finals, Game 2, not the first game in a February back-to-back.

This is a Cavaliers team only a week or so removed from proving it could win games inside and out, with three-point marksmen and two dynamic finishers in LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. – CLICK HERE to read full story.

LeBron James, Cavaliers searching for answers down 2-0 to dominant Warriors in NBA Finals Author: Jason Lloyd Publication: Akron Beacon Journal

OAKLAND, CALIF.: Here he is again, back in this familiar but unwanted position.

Here is LeBron James, looking around for help and instead finding missed shots and blown defensive assignments. As he has done so many times before, James is putting it on himself now as the Cavaliers return home buried in an 0-2 deficit in these NBA Finals.

James brags all the time there is nothing he hasn’t seen before, but he’s never seen an 0-2 deficit quite like this. The Golden State Warriors have smashed the Cavs by a combined 48 points through the first two games of this series, the largest margin for two games in NBA Finals history. Kevin Love’s status is uncertain now that he’s in the league’s concussion protocol and Kyrie Irving is struggling just to outplay Warriors backup point guard Shaun Livingston. – CLICK HERE to read full story.
