CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland Cavaliers guard Mo Williams will bypass becoming an unrestricted free agent this summer to pick up his player option for the 2016-17 season, league sources informed cleveland.com.

Williams, 33, signed a modest two-year, $4.3 million deal last season and the second year contained a player option. The deadline for him to opt out is June 16, a league source told cleveland.com. He will earn approximately $2.2 million next season.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – As counter-intuitive as it sounds, Game 6 at The Q could be harder for the Cavs than a Game 7 away from home.

We have been here before, when past performance is no guarantee of future results. Most recently after a Game 3 blowout of Golden State that seemed to serve only to embarrass and refocus the defending champs.
