LOS ANGELES – LeBron James and the Cavaliers are getting together here this week for another championship celebration, this time with millions watching at the ESPYs.

James was nominated for three awards at the annual Oscars-style recognition event put on by ESPN (8 p.m., Wednesday), including best male athlete for 2016.

The Cavs (James included) are up for seven awards, including best team. They pulled off the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history by overcoming a 3-1 deficit to beat the Golden State Warriors for the franchise’s first championship in June. – CLICK HERE to read full story.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Standing across the street from patriotic signs welcoming the Republican National Convention to Quicken Loans Arena, with Nike’s LeBron James outstretched arms in the banner behind them, Sherwin-Williams’ Executive Chairman Chris Connor on Tuesday morning handed an oversized $150,000 check to volunteers from the LeBron James Family Foundation.

The check was intended to both commemorate the Cleveland paint company’s 150th anniversary, and to symbolize Sherwin-Williams’ support of James, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and James’ foundation.

Connor, speaking of the company’s decision to keep James’ 10-story-tall banner on the side of the company’s global headquarters that faces The Q, said: “It was the right decision in so many ways.” – CLICK HERE to read full story.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Kevin Durant had everything in Oklahoma City this season and more than LeBron James did in 2010 when he made “The Decision.”

NBA Finals berth, albeit for a lopsided loser? Check. Durant’s 2011-12 became five-game victims of James’ Miami Heat. The 2007 Cavaliers were swept in the Finals by San Antonio.

Scoring title? Check.
