Cavs Crown Kings at The Q Author: Joe Gabriele Publication: Cavs.com
Wrap-Up — There’s no such thing as an easy game in the NBA. But the Cavaliers cruised through Monday night’s victory without meeting much resistance against a team limping into the All-Star Break
Rudy Gay’s 20-footer gave the Kings a 7-6 lead just over two minutes into the game and that’s as good as it would get for Sacramento. On the next possession, Kyrie Irving canned his second triple of the night and the Wine and Gold never looked back – taking the 120-100 decision over the Kings at The Q.
Kyrie was just offering a preview of things to come with his two treys to start the scoring. The three-time All-Star would go on to tie a season-high in points and tie a career-high in assists. On the night, Irving finished with 32 points – going 13-for-21 from the floor, including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc – adding three boards, a blocked shot and a team-high 12 helpers. – CLICK HERE to read full story.

The Latin phrase – in medias res – means “in the midst of things” and, in literature, it’s the process of beginning the narrative by plunging directly in a crucial moment of the story.
Tyronn Lue’s tale as an NBA head coach had been slowly building for some time, but this year he was dropped in medias res directly into a story that continues barreling its way toward the All-Star Break, where he will coach the Eastern Conference All-Stars on Sunday night in Toronto.
On January 22, not long after the Cavaliers released David Blatt, Lue – just hours after beating his mentor, Doc Rivers’ and the Clippers – became the 20th head coach in Cavaliers team history, a year-and-a-half after being hired as the team’s associate head coach the previous June. – CLICK HERE to read full story.
LeBron James’ first triple-double, Kyrie Irving’s 32 helps Cleveland Cavaliers rout Sacramento, 120-100 Author: Chris Haynes Publication: Cleveland.com
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Rajon Rondo over-dribbled and had nowhere to go, finding himself in the air with no one to pass to.
He launched the ball back towards half court and it floated right into the hands of LeBron James as if James was playing wide receiver. From there, it was nothing but open court on his way to a flush to put the Cleveland Cavaliers up 18 on the Sacramento Kings with 1:25 remaining in the first half.
That play by Rondo symbolized the direction of the reeling, dysfunctional Kings franchise: going nowhere. – CLICK HERE to read full story.
