LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Channing Frye shine in Cleveland Cavaliers’ 114-103 victory over Charlotte Hornets Author: Chris Haynes Publication: Cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Feb. 3 the Charlotte Hornets handed the Cavaliers a loss no one saw coming. They accomplished it despite injuries sidelining two of their best players, Al Jefferson and Kemba Walker.

It was a road game for the Cavaliers, but one they were the clear favorites to win. Cleveland wasn’t prepared, and didn’t take their foe seriously.

“I hate that, because we let our guards down,” head coach Tyronn Lue said of that game. “I like to have them full strength so that way our guys are focused and locked in.” – CLICK HERE to read full story.

LeBron James feels ’10 times better’ than last season and Monday night: Joe Vardon’s instant analysis Author: Joe Vardon Publication: Cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio – LeBron James’ lapse was momentary.

As expected, the Cavs’ superstar shook off what was probably his worst game in two seasons on Monday night with an excellent effort in the team’s 114-103 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.

James posted 23 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists on 8-of-13 shooting and just two turnovers in 31 minutes. He sat the entire fourth quarter because the Cavs took a 12-point lead and turned it into a 24-point advantage with 6:41 left and James resting comfortably. – CLICK HERE to read full story.

LeBron James’ key to NBA longevity may be his passing Author: Joe Vardon Publication: Cleveland.com

CLEVELAND, Ohio – If this season is any indicator, LeBron James is not going to ride off into the sunset as an outside shooter.

But his passing ability may compensate once he loses the athleticism that makes him a dominant scorer, years down the road.

One of the things that jumped out during the Cavaliers’ 114-103 win over Charlotte Wednesday was how much James had the ball in his hands to start the game.

Cleveland was looking to push the pace, as it has since Tyronn Lue took over as coach, but the Cavs’ rebounders (in the case of a Charlotte miss) and inbounders (after a Hornets’ basket), were looking for James, while the usual point guard Kyrie Irving took off down the court. – CLICK HERE to read full story.
