CLEVELAND, Ohio – Of all the 29 other teams in the NBA, Anderson Varejao chose to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers’ nemesis: the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

That decision has added another difficult layer on top of what was already an emotional couple of days for the Cavalier faithful in seeing their team trade away Varejao after 12 years with the club.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — LeBron James and his NBA superstar pals Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony shipped water and organic food to Flint, Michigan recently to help the victims of the water crisis there.

The donations were made through the players’ charitable foundations. For James — that’s the LeBron James Family Foundation. The supplies were sent by Thrive Market, a Los Angeles-based store for healthy food.

The Cavaliers will carry an Eastern Conference-best 40-15 record into Wednesday’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets at Quicken Loans Arena. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m. ET.
