Players To Watch: Nov. 24
Damian Lillard, PG ($9,400)
The dynamic point guard had his best FanDuel game of the season on Sunday as he posted 30 points on 25 shots, 13 assists, six rebounds, two steals and a block for 60.7 FanDuel points in a win over the Lakers. It was his first 60-plus FanDuel point game of the season and his third 40-plus FanDuel point contest over his last four games. He faces a tougher matchup at home against the Chicago Bulls tonight (10 ET, NBA League Pass). But he’s an interesting, alternative option at point guard when many will use Stephen Curry ($10,900) or Chris Paul ($8.900) in tournament play.
? Tonight on NBA TV: FanDuel Tip-Off Show (6:30 ET) ?
Avery Bradley, SG ($6,000)
With Marcus Smart (leg) out for at least the next couple weeks, Avery Bradley returns to being a solid option in FanDuel. Over his last four games, Bradley is averaging 21.8 points on 16.0 attempts, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.3 steals for 31.7 FanDuel points in 29.1 minutes. In his last game, Bradley played a season-high 40 minutes and scored a season-high 27 points on 9-for-20 shooting for 37.3 FanDuel points after Smart left the game due to injury in the fourth quarter. The Hawks’ middle-of-the-pack defense should give Bradley plenty of opportunities to produce tonight (8 ET, TNT) and reach five times the value of his $6,000 salary tonight.
Harrison Barnes, SF ($5,500)
The Warriors’ starting small forward continues to tally up the stats as he averages 19.3 points on 12.3 attempts, 6.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals for 31.27 FanDuel points in 33.3 minutes over his last three games. He’s played 30-plus minutes in seven straight games and should have plenty of opportunities to produce tonight as Golden State goes for history at home against the Lakers (10:30 ET, TNT). Barnes is a steal at $5,500.
Nikola Jokic, C ($4,300)
On a night with a lot of big names in action, you may want to go cheap at a few positions to afford more studs. Nikola Jokic looks like a good option as he will likely start his second straight game at center for the Denver Nuggets. The 20-year-old rookie from Serbia has seen an increased role over the last three games after he dominated for 23 points on 13 shots, 12 rebounds, three blocks and two steals in 32 minutes against the Spurs last Wednesday. Over his last three games, he’s averaging 13.3 points on 8.7 shots, 9.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks for 31.3 FanDuel points in 25.7 minutes. He’s certainly not a lock for a big game. But at $4,300, it seems likely he’s able to reach five times the value of his salary at home against the struggling Clippers tonight (9 ET, NBA League Pass).
Josh Smith, PF ($3,900)
You never know what you’re going to get with Josh Smith. And lately, the output hasn’t been much as he’s averaging just 4.0 points on 5.0 attempts, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.7 blocks in 16.7 minutes over his last three games. While unimpressive, those numbers (thanks to his defensive stats) still allowed Smith to average 18.5 FanDuel points over that span. He’s a definite risk. But if he can hit 18-plus FanDuel points against the Nuggets tonight (9 ET, NBA League Pass), then he becomes intriguing at $3,900 on a night when there aren’t many great, low-cost options.
