Daily Fantasy, Dec. 1: Five players to watch on Tuesday

Every day with FanDuel, you’re the GM. Use your NBA knowledge to create the best nine-man team with a salary of $60,000. Once your roster is set, enter a contest, sit back and enjoy the games.

Players To Watch: Dec. 1

Jahlil Okafor, C ($6,400)

Okafor and the Sixers return home after a six-game road trip that resulted in six losses. Still winless, the historically bad Sixers have a great shot at putting a mark in the “W” column against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight (7 ET, League Pass). The Lakers have struggled on defense, ranking second worst in defensive rating (107.4) and fourth-worst in offensive rebounds allowed (12.0 per game). Okafor and the Sixers should be extremely motivated to get their first win against a beatable opponent, so don’t be surprised if Okafor has a big game. He averaged 15.0 points on 14.5 attempts, 9.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.5 blocks for 29.4 FanDuel points in 32.0 minutes on the road trip.

? Tonight on NBA TV: FanDuel Tip-Off Show (6:30 ET) ?

Tristan Thompson, PF ($5,600)

Minutes are on the rise for the Cavaliers’ big man over his last five games as Timofey Mozgov ($3,900) continues to recover from a should strain. Over this five-game span, Thompson is averaging 8.6 points on 7.8 attempts, 12.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists for 27.66 FanDuel points in 34.6 minutes. He’s finishing games with Kevin Love ($8,300) and should continue to be considered for FanDuel lineups as long as his playing time is in the 30-minute range. At $5,600, five times the value of his salary is well within reach every night.

Wesley Matthews, SG ($4,700)

After five seasons with the Blazers, “Iron Man” returns to Portland for his first game since signing with the Mavericks this summer. Matthews has struggled with his shot so far in Dallas, shooting 34.7 percent from the field and 31.1 percent from 3-point. But his minutes and shot attempts have remained steady as he has averaged 32.1 minutes and 11.9 field goal attempts over his last ten games. If he can rediscover his shot in Portland tonight (10 ET, NBA TV), he should be able to reach at least five times the value of his $4,700 salary.

Isaiah Canaan, PG ($4,400)

Canaan has been on a tear after taking over the starting point guard role from T.J. McConnell ($4,900). Over his last five games, Canaan is averaging 17.4 points on 13.6 attempts, 2.4 assists, 2.2 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.8 turnovers for 24.4 FanDuel points in 31.5 minutes. He’s perhaps the only Sixers guard who can create his own shot, so he should continue to receive plenty of opportunities in Philadelphia. A matchup at home against the struggling Lakers (7 ET, League Pass) will make these opportunities even easier to produce.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, SF ($4,200)

The 20-year-old forward continues to produce in increased minutes for Brooklyn. Over his last five games, Hollis-Jefferson is averaging 8.2 points on 6.0 attempts, 8.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.6 steals for 26.12 FanDuel points in 28.3 minutes. Hot shooting from Wayne Ellington ($3,600) limited Hollis-Jefferson’s minutes in his last game. But they should return against the Phoenix Suns tonight (7:30 ET, League Pass), a team that ranks fifth-worst in turnovers at 16.6 per game. At $4,200, Hollis-Jefferson is a solid, low-cost option at small forward.
