The Consensus Mock Draft is a compilation of the best mock drafts around the web. We bring them together to come up with a good estimate of how the 2015 NBA Draft could play out.
– In our first look, everyone seems to agree that it’s some combination of LSU’s Ben Simmons and Duke’s Brandon Ingram at the top of the Draft. Most think the Sixers will grab Simmons, with a pair of mocks favoring Ingram.
– After that, there isn’t much consensus so far. That could change, but so far no player appears more than six times in any position, which is fairly rare compared to past seasons’ mock drafts.
– Dragan Bender, the 18-year-old Croatian who plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv, shouldn’t fall past No. 6. Six of the 12 mock drafts have the 7-footer going third to the Celtics, and no one has him below No. 6.
– Marquese Chriss has been gaining some ground since workouts have begun. DraftExpress has him going No. 3 to Boston, but most still have the Washington power forward in the middle of the lottery.
– Aside from Bender, two other international players are projected to go in the lottery — France’s Timothy Luwawu (most commonly 12th to Utah) and Turkey’s Furkan Korkmaz, who shows up on three mocks.
– Eight players appear in the lottery on all 12 mock drafts: Simmons, Ingram, Bender, Jaylen Brown, Buddy Hield, Jakob Poeltl, Jamal Murray and Kris Dunn.
