Cody Zeller: Signs four-year extension with Charlotte

Zeller certainly hasn’t been overly impressive during his first three full seasons in Charlotte, but he’s proven to be a reliable addition to their frontcourt while averaging 21.5 minutes per game to date. Despite the generous contract extension, the 24-year-old is not guaranteed a starter’s role in the duration of this new contract, and it’s even possible that he won’t hold onto his role as a starter this season with Roy Hibbert, Frank Kaminsky, and Spencer Hawes all viable options to start at center as well.
