Though the Hornets were beaten by 18 points, the team was plus-23 points when Wood was on the court, far and away the best mark of anyone on either squad. The second-year forward is a promising prospect whose long wingspan and perimeter game intrigued the Hornets enough to ink him to a two-year deal this summer, but it’s not expected that he’ll open the upcoming campaign with a rotation spot in hand.
