With the Clippers pulling away in the fourth quarter, Paul saw a little less run than he typically would in a more competitive contest, but that’s probably just as well with the team playing the second half of a back-to-back set. Coach Doc Rivers should seize any opportunity he can throughout the season to reduce Paul’s workload, but that likely won’t hinder the point guard’s production too often, and it certainly didn’t Monday. Despite not playing more than 33 minutes in any of the Clippers’ first three contests, Paul is averaging 20.0 points, 7.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.0 treys per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the field and 87.5 percent from the charity stripe.
