Chinanu Onuaku: Assigned to NBA D-League

At just 19 years old, Onuaku is still pretty raw and the Rockets want to get him some additional development, so he’ll head to Rio Grande Valley, where he’ll have a much greater opportunity to refine his skills on the court. This will likely become a familiar situation for Onuaku and there’s a good chance he moves back and forth between the two teams all throughout the season. Once back with the Rockets, he’ll be nothing more than a deep reserve at center behind Clint Capela and Nene Hilario.
