Celtics Release 2016 Preseason Schedule

BOSTON – The Boston Celtics today announced their 2016 preseason schedule, which will open on Tuesday, October 4 when they are hosted by the Philadelphia 76ers at the Mullins Center on the campus of University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Tickets for the October 4 game are now available for purchase on Ticketmaster.com.

The team will face off against the Charlotte Hornets twice, with the first matchup taking place at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC on Thursday, October 6 and the second at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on Saturday, October 8. Tickets for the October 8 game are now available for purchase on Ticketmaster.com.

The preseason line-up also includes contests against Atlantic Division rivals the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks. The team will start their New York road trip by facing the Nets on Thursday, October 13 and the Knicks on Saturday, October 15. The Celtics will then close preseason play at home as they host the Nets and Knicks at the TD Garden on Monday, October 17 and Wednesday, October 19.

All Celtics preseason games can be seen on CSN New England, featuring broadcast team Mike Gorman, Tommy Heinsohn and Brian Scalabrine, along with sideline reporter Abby Chin and Pre and Post-game coverage with Kyle Draper, Sherrod Blakely and more. Featuring Sean Grande and Cedric Maxwell, 98.5 The Sports Hub will broadcast the October 4, 6 and 19 games, while fans can tune into 100.7 WZLX to catch the October 15 matchup.
