Cavs defeat Pistons 107-90, take 2-0 series lead

The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the visiting Detroit Pistons, 107-90, on Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena to take a 2-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference first-round playoffs.

In an unsurprising turn of events, superstar LeBron James led the scoring charge for Cleveland, recording 27 points on the night. James was highly efficient, converting 12 of 18 shots from the field and hitting a pair of three-pointers. Wednesday also marked a significant individual milestone for James, as he passed Michael Jordan in terms of career playoff games played with 180. While LeBron led the way, the rest of Cleveland's superstar trifecta got the job done in the win. Forward Kevin Love posted a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double, while point guard Kyrie Irving scored 22 points and also dished four assists.

Detroit, meanwhile, struggled mightily against their division rival on Wednesday. All-Star center and NBA rebounding leader Andre Drummond had just seven boards in the contest while also going a dismal 4-for-16 from the free-throw line. Things weren't much better for frontcourt partner Tobias Harris, who shot just 3-for-11 from the field on Wednesday. Perhaps the biggest issue for Detroit, however, was the gap in perimeter shooting; the Pistons hit just four three-pointers while allowing a whopping 20 for Cleveland.

Game 3 will take place in Detroit.
