Cleveland improved their Eastern Conference leading 41-15 record with a 114-103 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night at The Q. The Cavs set a season-high for points in a quarter with 40 points in the second period. Cleveland scored 22 points off of 14 Charlotte turnovers, making Wednesday’s game the 15th time this season the Cavs scored 20 or more points off of turnovers (15-0).
Against the Hornets Wednesday evening, the Cavs shot 13-32 (.406) from the three-point line. The contest marked the 30th time this season the Cavs drained 10 or more from deep. Cleveland is averaging 10.1 made triples per game, which is good for 5th-most in the NBA. Wednesday night’s game marked the 21st time this season the Cavs dished out 25 or more assists in a game, as Cleveland recorded 26 assists to nine turnovers. The Wine and Gold have won 20 straight games when dishing out at least 25 assists (since October 28).
The Cavs had a 28-7 advantage in fastbreak points against the Hornets, which was tied for their 2nd-most transition points in 2015-16 (31 vs. PHI on December 20).
Cleveland will need to have the same offensive production against a Raptors squad that has won 25 straight games when holding their opponents to less than 100 points.
Toronto (38-18) enters Friday’s contest riding a three-game winning streak and trails the Cavaliers by three games atop the Eastern Conference standings.
The Raptors are led by their dynamic backcourt tandem of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan. DeRozan leads Toronto at 23.5 points per game while Lowry leads the team in assists at 6.4 assists and is second in scoring at 21.0 points per contest.

Friday’s contest marks the third and final time these two teams will meet during the 2015-16 regular season.
The Wine and Gold have won four of their last five contests against the Raptors. Over that five-game stretch versus Toronto, the Cavs averaging 110.2 points on .496 shooting, including a .444 clip from the three-point line, 25.8 assists (11.6 turnovers) and 11.2 three-pointers.
In their last meeting against Toronto, the Cavaliers won 122-100 at The Q on Jan. 4. Cleveland shot 41-74 (.554) from the field, including 17-33 (.515) from deep, and dished out 25 assists. The Cavs had six players score in double figures, including all five starters (Irving-25, Smith-24, James-20, Love-14, Thompson-14 and Dellavedova-11). Cleveland also outrebounded the Raptors, 40-26.
On Sunday, the Wine and Gold travel to the nation’s capital for a matinee against the Wizards. The Wine and Gold return home the next day to wrap up the back-to-back, welcoming the Pacers to Cleveland on Monday night to wrap up the month of February.
