Bulls Beat Grizzlies, 108-104

The visiting Chicago Bulls took down the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, 108-104.

Chicago (21-21) did not let the second half of a back-to-back hold them down on Sunday, as the team fought out the game until the final seconds. Despite a slow start to the game, the Bulls came out with a whopping 38 points in the second quarter and held double-digit leads at points. Scoring came from an unusual place on Sunday, as forward Doug McDermott led the team with 31 off the bench. McDermott hit three three-pointers and went 10-of-11 from the free-throw line. For the starting unit, superstar wing Jimmy Butler provided offense with 16 points and six assists while also pulling down eight rebounds and coming away with three steals.

Memphis (25-18) entered Sunday having won three of its last four games but stumbled down the stretch against the talented Bulls. The team saw strong play from its core of veterans again on Sunday, as Marc Gasol and Mike Conley led the starting unit. Gasol had a 24-point, 11-rebound double-double, while Conley scored a team-high 28. Veteran Zach Randolph helped the Grizzlies stay in the mix with a whopping eight offensive rebounds off the bench. However, the team was held back by foul trouble, as they sent the Bulls to the free-throw line 35 times on the night. Six Grizzlies finished the night with at least three fouls.

The Bulls will host the Mavericks on Tuesday, while the Grizzlies will visit Washington on Wednesday.
