Brook Lopez Thrilled with Star Wars Bobblehead

No one is more excited for Star Wars Night at Barclays Center than Brook Lopez.

Taking place on Dec. 14 against the Orlando Magic, the Nets game will celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which hits theaters four days later. The first 10,000 fans attending the game will receive a special edition Lopez bobblehead.

“I’m in awe of meeting him, he’s very impressive,” said the 7-foot about his “mini-me.” “First and foremost I like how we got the blue blade: Luke’s classic blade from the first two movies.”

And although Brook might not have been the first Lopez brother with a bobblehead – Robin Lopez won the “Fresno Famous Bobblehead Tournament” this past April with the Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A Baseball team – his is most certainly the coolest.

“Hopefully Robin will be jealous of this,” he said. “I think mine is much better, plus his [bobblehead] is defenseless and has just a basketball.”

Brook also sat down with StarWars.com to talk about growing up a Star Wars fan, achieving Jedi Knight status and to discuss the special power that would make him turn Sith.
