The Boston Celtics came into Milwaukee and knocked out the Bucks 99-83 to improve to a 3-3 record. Boston snapped Milwaukee's four game winning streak to start a two game winning streak of their own.
Entering the third quarter, Milwaukee trailed by four in a tightly conested ball game. However, Boston dominated the third 30-17 to take control of the contest. It was an all-around team game for the Celtics who had six players reach double figures and ten players score overall.
Isaiah Thomas led the way for Boston with 20 points, while Jared Sullinger provided the only double-double for the Celtics. Along with Sullinger's 11 points and 10 rebounds, he provided three assists, one steal, and one triple. After being traded to Boston in the offseason, David Lee put together one of his more impressive games. He had 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, and three assists in 21 minutes. Boston will attempt to improve on their 3-3 record Wednesday versus the Pacers.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had his poorest perfomance of the year for the Bucks due to foul trouble. He put up 16 points, three boards, two steals, one three, and four turnovers in 24 minutes. Jabari Parker continued his comeback from an ACL injury with an efficient eight pioints, eight rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 24 minutes. Khris Middleton and Jerryd Bayless also scored in double figures with 13 and 12 points a piece. Milwaukee will look to rebound and start a new winning streak Wednesday in Denver.
