Portis will look to take advantage of the opportunity as he continues to compete with Taj Gibson and Nikola Mirotic for the starting nod at power forward heading into the regular season. In Portis’ last preseason effort Thursday, he recorded six points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 16 minutes.
