In a film camera, when you push the shutter release, the mirror that allows you to see the image has to flip up… so the screen goes dark. The precise moment that you’re capturing, you can’t even see it.

After that game, I mailed the film to the lab in New Jersey and I didn’t hear anything back for days… the first time I saw it was when it showed up in Sports Illustrated.
