Basketball Twitter Reacts To Thibodeau Hiring

The Minnesota Timberwolves were the most attractive team for available coaches heading into next season. And for good reason. Karl-Anthony Towns. Andrew Wiggins. Ricky Rubio. Zach LaVine.

Not bad pieces to build around.

Tom Thibodeau was the best coach on the market. And for good reason. Thibodeau was 255-139 from 2010-2015 as Chicago’s head coach and was named the 2010-11 NBA Coach of the Year. His resume is a lengthy one.

Here’s what the basketball Twitter world had to say about Minnesota hiring Thibodeau as the team’s next head coach and president of basketball operations.

Minnesota was by far the best coaching job that will change hands this NBA off season. Not surprised Thibs got it. He’s a difference maker.

I’m so happy for Thibs + Towns + the long-suffering ‘Sota fans. What a perfect match of coach and talent. Wish I could buy T-Wolves stock.

Hope to see a lot of Thibs smiles like this one in the future. pic.twitter.com/oq3Kmyatqc

If Joakim Noah garnered MVP votes under Tom Thibodeau, Karl-Anthony Towns might well win as a write-in for the U.S. presidency.

The Wolves are going to be whatever the opposite of a sleeper is playoff pick.
