Avery Bradley: Will remain out Friday vs. Raptors

Bradley did travel with the Celtics for their two-game road trip to kick off
their post-All-Star break schedule, and even though the shooting guard saw
involvement in morning shootaround and said he feels 100 percent healthy, coach
Brad Stevens and the team’s staff decided it was for the best for Bradley to
miss his 17th consecutive game. Despite Bradley’s extended absence, the Celtics
have surged into second in the Eastern Conference standings, so the team has the
luxury of holding him out for precautionary purposes. Marcus Smart is expected
to see the bulk of the minutes at shooting guard in Bradley’s stead, though it’s
uncertain if Smart or Jaylen Brown (hip) will start at the position. Bradley’s
next chance to return to the court will come Sunday against the Pistons.
