Anthony Davis: Totals 33 points, 13 boards in loss

Davis has been dynamite in the Pelicans’ two matchups with the Warriors during the young season, racking up a combined 78 points and 30 rebounds while shooting 28-of-49 (57.1%) from the field and 20-of-27 (74%) from the free-throw line. Even so, Davis’ immense talent hasn’t been nearly enough for this poorly constructed Pelicans roster, and his team now sits at an 0-7 record for the season. With the playoffs already looking like a long shot at this point, it’s worth wondering if the Pelicans may attempt to limit Davis’ minutes in the second half of a lost season, but fantasy owners need not think that far ahead just yet. For now, continue to bask in the glory of what a healthy Davis can produce, as the franchise center is holding down career-best averages of 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.9 blocks and 1.9 steals across 37.6 minutes per game.
