The right thumb injury that Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis suffered over the weekend doesn’t appear to be much of a concern.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports the MRI performed on Davis’ injury came back clean. Davis initially sprained his right thumb in the first quarter of Saturday’s preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets in China, the team announced, and he did not return.
Davis finished the preseason game with six points, three rebounds and two blocks in 12 minutes. The Lakers host the Golden State Warriors tonight (10:30 ET, NBA TV), but neither Davis nor LeBron James will play in that game (via Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports).
