The Wine & Gold are calling on Cavs Nation to submit nominations of Cavs fans throughout Northeast Ohio who deserve to be recognized for their “All For One, One For ALL” community spirit during the 4th annual Cavs EveryFAN Night presented by Speedway on Tuesday, March 29th when the Cavs vs. Houston Rockets at Quicken Loans Arena at 8:00 p.m. An “EveryFAN” is an unsung hero who works hard and takes pride in making Northeast Ohio a better place to live. The 2016 Cavs EveryFAN will receive an unforgettable VIP Cavaliers game day experience, halftime recognition on The Q’s Humongotron scoreboard, FREE gas for one full year courtesy of Speedway and much more!
Fans are encouraged to submit nominations (in 500 words or less) of everyday heroes online at Cavs.com/EveryFAN NOW until Friday, March 11th. Submissions will be reviewed by an honorary judging committee which includes, among others, the previous EveryFAN winners and Meredith Griffin, wife of Cavaliers General Manager David Griffin. The 2016 Cavs EveryFAN will be selected based on the demonstration of five important qualities: work ethic, high moral values, community pride, Cavaliers pride and everyday heroism.
Last year, Mentor Fire Department Deputy Chief Kevin Edmond was selected from hundreds of nominees as the 2015 Cavs EveryFAN because of his selfless acts of service throughout the community, including with Mentor Schools, Lake County Food Bank, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Muscular Dystrophy Organization and American Cancer Society.
THE ULTIMATE CAVS EVERYFAN EXPERIENCE To give back and say, “THANKS!” to an everyday community hero who gives so much to others, the selected 2016 Cavs EveryFAN and a guest will enjoy a pregame dinner at RED, the Steakhouse. When they arrive at The Q for the game, the Cavs EveryFAN will be celebrated with exclusive experiences, prizes and a special halftime presentation acknowledging the honoree’s impact on their community.
