Jazz re-acquire sharpshooter Korver

Utah Jazz receive:
F Kyle Korver

Cleveland Cavaliers receive:
Alec Burks
2020 second-round pick
2021 second-round pick

Nov. 29 | Official release:  Cavs | Jazz

Instant analysis:  At the time of the trade, the Jazz were shooting a paltry 31.9 percent on 3-pointers, which ranks 28th in the NBA. Enter Korver, a career 43.2 percent 3-point shooter and one of the best long-range shooters in NBA history. He returns to Utah, where he played from 2007-10 and was a fan favorite for a myriad of reasons. For the Cavs, they get a slashing scorer in Burks who could become a piece for their future as they navigate a difficult season. Future second-round picks don’t hurt either, as they could net prospects or be used in a future trade (perhaps later this season).

Sixers acquire Butler from Wolves

Philadelphia 76ers receive:

C Justin Patton

Minnesota Timberwolves receive:

He heads to Philadelphia, where he will team with All-Star Joel Embiid and reigning Kia Rookie of the Year winner Ben Simmons to give the Sixers a triumvirate not seen since Julius Erving, Moses Malone and Andrew Toney graced the court in the early 1980s. For the Wolves, the trade ends weeks of speculation and distraction while also giving them versatile, young “3-and-D” forwards Covington and Saric to pair with their stars Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns.
